
Solomia Savchuk
Solomia Savchuk is a Ukrainian visual artist and independent art curator. Until 2022, she led the Department of Contemporary Art Programmes at the Mystetskyi Arsenal cultural and museum complex in Kyiv. She curated a number of research-based projects exploring the development of the Ukrainian art scene, including Sensitivity. Ukrainian Contemporary Photography (2021), Andrii Sahaidakovskyi. Scenery. Welcome! (2020), Oleg Holosiy. Non-Stop Painting (2019), Flashback. Ukrainian New Media Art of the 90s (2018), and many other monographic and thematic exhibitions.
In 2022–2023, she developed the visual programme for the Ukrainian Spring initiative in Paris and the Un Week-end à l’Est festival (Paris), addressing key themes of Ukrainian culture as an integral part of the European cultural discourse. She also collaborated with the Imago Mundi Foundation on several projects dedicated to Ukrainian art in Italy, including an artist residency in Fontecchio, in partnership with MAXXI L’Aquila, and exhibitions within the Short Stories. Contemporary Artists from Ukraine project at Gallerie delle Prigioni (Treviso) and the MAXXI – National Museum of 21st Century Arts (Rome).
